Why the Water Calculation is Accurate:
- Base: 38 ml/kg is the modern recommendation (slightly higher than the classic 30–35 ml/kg to account for modern lifestyles).
- Activity Bonus: Ranges from +0 ml (sedentary) to +1200 ml (athlete), reflecting increased fluid loss during exercise.
- Climate Bonus: Ranges from +0 ml (cold) to +900 ml (hot), accounting for sweating in warm environments.
- Rounding: To the nearest 50 ml for practicality.
